The Silverfish Artist and Writer Program is a peer-oriented workshop series that pairs artists and writers to produce new work through skill-sharing and interdisciplinary collaboration. The program is focused on developing selected participants’ practices through critical reading groups, group critiques, peer editing, and various workshops spanning art-making, editorial skills, and self-publishing. The program will culminate in the production of Silverfish Magazine Issue 002, published by Hearth. This publication will showcase the artworks and writings produced during the program and the selected participants will be paid for their contributions to the publication. The Silverfish Artist and Writer Program is committed to prioritizing marginalized voices, particularly those from within the 2SLGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities.
